Dr. Shaffer and Dr. Sank were trained by Aaron Beck, the founder of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Albert Ellis, the founder of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Dr. Shaffer and Dr. Sank are co-authors of a textbook using Cognitive Behavior Therapy with a forward by Dr. Albert Ellis.
